Gateway to Work

This course will develop the employability skills for working in a team. It will allow people to improve their confidence in communication and presentation skills.

Course content

• Understand the characteristics of a good working team
• Understand and demonstrate own strengths and the different roles within a team
• Recognise and value the contribution made by others in a team
• Identify the strengths others can bring to a team
• Be able to effectively participate within a team

• 2 days per week
• 9.30am – 3.00pm

Progression

At the end of the 2 days students will have a 1:1 meeting where they will be signposted to a sector route way course (Adult Social Care, Hospitality & Customer Care, Retail,  Childcare, Office Skills, or Fitness Instructing).
