Alison is making her passion into a career
Making her mark through Community Learning with Trafford College is student, Alison Burton.
Alison, a mother of 1 and former secretary from Sale, had previously tried her hand at jewellery making before she had her son, now 8 years old. However after taking a career break she decided to take up the skill once again and enrol on a jewellery making course at The Hub, a community centre in Altrincham after discovering Trafford College was delivering courses there.
Since starting the course, Alison has not only discovered her true passion in life along with new career aspirations, but she also has a new found confidence having fulfilled her ambition of owning her own jewellery business, Little Gem Stones. Alison comments, “My course at Trafford College was fantastic. It was a great way of getting back into jewellery making and I really enjoyed learning new skills and meeting lots of different types of people. The course has given me the ability to taksomething that I love and make it into a career.”
