Last year alone we managed to raise over 11 thousand pounds for Cancer Research UK, just from events that took place in and around the college, supported by both staff and students.
And here’s how we did it…

Questionable dress attire was excused for the day, to make way for a fancy dress sponsored walk which helped raise an incredible £2481.75 for Cancer Research UK. Take a look at our photos from the charity launch event
Rivalry was a central theme in the autumn charity event with seven music bands going head to head in a ‘battle of the bands’ competiton which also featured brave Creative Arts student Jade Robinson who opted to shaved her head, adding to a total of £700 in autumn
During Halloween, Trafford College became Manchester’s central hub for all things scary with highlights including Students serving blood onboard flight 666, expert make-up face painting by students and a daredevil wing walker.
Freezing conditions were not enough to slow down the fundraising process with exciting events and activities across the college’s campuses. Highlights include Music Base students ‘Mash Up’ gig at Manchester’s Band on the Wall, which rose over £300 for the charity with their outstanding performance
An outstanding total of over £6000 was raised during the spring/summer terms with a variety of fun activities including a James Bond inspired Secret Cinema event
