Course Details
The programme combines the theoretical and practical aspects of artificial nail techniques. The course covers the following topics: Client consultation; Nail analysis; Product choice; Product safety; Maintenance and aftercare; Marketing and promotion; Application of tip and overlay; Theory of a range of artificial techniques; Business planning; Intro to other systems.

3 hours per week over 18 weeks.

Assessment is continuous during the programme, and will include the following: Observation of practical skills; Oral questioning; Written test; Assignments. Successful students will achieve VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust) Diploma in Advanced Nail Techniques.
Course Progression
Successful students may wish to progress on to the VTCT Nail Art course and then progress on to level 3 nails full time. There are employment opportunities in beauty salons, specialist nail studios and similar establishments.
Course Additional Information
Students will be required to wear a professional salon uniform and purchase a kit.
