We understand that you may have concerns about the cost of returning to education or wonder how you will balance work and family life with a College course. There are a range of financial support services available to both Access and Higher Education Students.
For full time courses, fees are £5,000 per year. For part time courses, fees are £3,100 per year. For more information about course fees, please contact our Customer Services department on 061 886 7070 or email email@example.com. Please note that fees are subject to change.
Access to Higher Education (including Foundation Diploma in Art & Design)
Student Bursary (18 years old)
Trafford College’s Student Bursary is available to help eligible students with, travel to and from college, college lunches, essential course equipment, uniforms, and compulsory trips. The amount you can receive depends on your family’s household income. Please contact us for more information.
Care to Learn (up to the age of 20 years old)
If you are a young parent you may be eligible for help with child care costs of up to £160 per-child per-week. Please contact us for more information or visit Care to Learn.
Discretionary Learner Support Fund (19 – 23 years old)
The College has limited funding to offer students experiencing financial hardship to help with course related costs, including tuition fees, childcare (aged 20+), travelling to and from College, and essential course related equipment, materials and field trips. 24+ Advanced Learning Loan (24+ years old)
Learners aged 24 plus and studying courses at Level 3 or Level 4 will from now have the option of accessing a loan to cover the cost of their tuition fees for courses starting in September 2015.
Student Finance – Full Time Students
For entry September 2018, Student Loans are available for students on full time Higher Education courses such as Foundation Degrees and HNDs. There are a variety of loans and grants available that can help students with both the costs of living and studying (depending on your circumstances). Information regarding the types of loans available, eligibility and the application process can be accessed online at Student Finance England. Students studying part-time Higher Education courses may apply for a non means tested tuition fee loan.
As stated, as long as you have been resident in the UK/EU/ Swiss Nationals, who have resided in the UK, EEA or Switzerland for at least 3 years. If you are from another country outside these, please visit the Home Office website for more information regarding financial support available.
