Care
If you want to work in a dynamic and highly rewarding industry then choose a career in Care.
If you want to learn about health, justice, children and care then our Diplomas in Society, Health and Development can give you the knowledge and understanding to progress onto further study in these areas. Alternatively, if you want to work specifically with children, our Introduction to Childcare course will prepare you with the skills to continue studying at a higher level and what to expect when working in the industry.
Courses take place at our Altrincham site.
The Level 1 Diploma in Society, Health & Development focuses on the following four sectors:
- Health
- Justice

The course teaches you about the work, values, attributes and attitudes associated with working within these sectors. Students will also learn about the numerous organisations which care for and support individuals, families, groups and communities within society. It equips learners with the knowledge and skills they need to progress to further study or gain a rewarding career in one of the four sectors.

- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills - As part of the Diploma, it is a requirement that learners develop and demonstrate their personal learning and thinking skills. These skills will enable the learner to enter work and adult life as a confident and capable individual.
- Work Experience - At Trafford College we can support all your Diploma work placements from start to finish. We have access to an extensive range of employers across all 4 sectors (health, justice, children and young people) offering placements for young people of all abilities.
