Engineering

By choosing one of our engineering courses you will study topics such as design, materials, electronic systems, maintenance and manufacturing. Our industry standard workshops and expert tutors will give you the knowledge and expertise to progress onto higher level qualifications.

Courses take place at our Technology Centre.
Students will develop practical skills in our specialist Engineering workshops as well as learning more about Engineering related topics through a range of classroom activities.
Student will learn basic workshop health and safety, whilst carrying out a variety of engineering skills. Whilst working safely in an engineering environment, you'll study the following units.
- Developing yourself and working with others
- Using Technical Information Engineering
- Hand fitting techniques
- Machining techniques
- Working Safely in an Engineering Environment
- Working Effectively & Efficiently in Engineering
- Using & Communicating Technical information
- Wiring Electrical Equipment & Circuits
- Assembling Electrical Wiring Support Systems
Other additional units maybe available subject to demand
You will also acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills you need to understand the principles of electrical installations and carry out basic electrical installation operations.
