Trafford College’s Marketing department have been presented with the silver award for Innovation and Creativity at the FE First Awards for their summer recruitment campaign, #moreme.
Open to Further Education, Sixth Form and specialist Colleges in the UK, the FE First Awards celebrate the full range of college marketing activities, highlighting innovation and unique campaigns that engage with prospective students, and wider audiences.
Elaine Andrews, Marketing Manager at The Trafford College Group, collected the award on behalf of the department and said: “With a lot to look forward to in 2019/20, we sought to push our boundaries in what we could do creatively, developing a recruitment campaign that would really put Trafford College on the map. Within the launch of the #moreme campaign, we successfully created a platform for current students to showcase the culture and personality of our college institution. We added a valuable human element to a digitally focussed campaign by allowing students to lead on the creative direction and initial roll-out of the concept.”
The #moreme campaign, which initially launched in June 2018 following the successful merger of Stockport College and Trafford College to form the Trafford College Group, allowed the institution to sweep the region with its career focused educational message. Elaine Andrews continued to say:
“Our social media engagement and influence has increased substantially throughout the campaign allowing us to reach new audiences and develop a better understanding of our target market. With over 2.5 million organic impressions across our active platforms during this period, we have also been able to unveil the rebrand of the college, ultimately improving our digital performance and brand recognition within the local and regional area.”
The campaign was co-created with the forward-thinking digital marketing agency Big Brand Ideas.
