The Trafford College Group extended a warm welcome this week to 32 delegates from various technical colleges in the Jiangsu Province of China as part of their continued professional development.
The visitors will be in the UK for three weeks and will spend two weeks with the college to gain an in-depth understanding of vocational education and training practices in the UK, focusing on apprenticeships and creativity in teaching and learning.
The delegates will be undertaking a busy schedule of activities which will include tours of all three college campuses, attending lectures, and field visits to local organisations.
Joan Scott, Director of Adult Learning at Trafford College, said: “The staff at The Trafford College Group are proud to be sharing their approach to teaching, learning and assessment with partners in China as they work to develop their vocational curriculum.
“Our visitors are keen to learn how we work closely with businesses to deliver high quality apprenticeship programmes that meet the needs of young people and employers, and how this can benefit their own curriculum.
“Our staff and students will benefit greatly from this visit as we share cultural and technical information. The link we have fostered with them will also see the opportunity for some of our staff to make a visit to China this summer so we can continue to share our learning experiences.”
