Open Day Success

Trafford College is celebrating after another successful Summer Open Day, with over 1700 people coming to visit the Altrincham and Technology Centre sites on Saturday 16 June.

Coronation Street’s ‘bad boy’ Jack P Shepherd AKA David Platt came to the Open Day to take a tour of the College, have a go at some of the fun activities on offer, and take part in an exclusive meet and greet with students and visitors.

After visiting the Open Day, Jack commented: ‘I’m a really big fan of Trafford College after today’s visit. I’ve been fortunate to have a really good look around and the facilities are absolutely fab! I’m really impressed by the restaurant and training kitchens, and the salon. Having been on Corrie for 12 years, most of my schooling took place on set and from home, but I would’ve loved the chance to come to a College like this – it’s really great!’

Other highlights of the event included a music tent hosted by Key 103 DJ Alex James, a BBQ, the Creative Arts Exhibition, the Mind, Body and Spirit Festival and family fun with a bouncy castle, face painting and a chance to explore a fire engine with the Manchester Fire Brigade.
