School leaver workshops to help you into the world of work

Trafford First, Trafford College’s one-stop-shop for job related advice and guidance, will be holding free weekly workshops between 21 June and 23 August to support those leaving school with help and advice on making a positive first impression on potential employers.

They’ll be sessions on CV writing, completing application forms, interview skills and looking for and applying for apprenticeships.

Director of apprenticeships Jane Keys, said: “Our advice will help to steer school leavers in the right direction on their pathway into the world of work.

“The team will be on hand to offer advice on what to put and what not to put on your CV, help look for vacancies, and explain the different types of interviews.”

The team at Trafford First will also be able to book any BKSB functional skills assessments that may be required.

The workshops will take place at Trafford First at Trafford College’s Altrincham campus between 10am and 3pm on Thursdays. Call Mary on 0161 886 7461 to book your place.
