Trafford College has today (Thursday, February 22) been awarded Chartered Institute Status for Further Education (CIFE).
The College, which is the first in Greater Manchester to be recognised by the CIFE, received the status after demonstrating high standards in areas including teaching and learning, governance, finance, industry links and community engagement.

This accolade distinguishes us as a leading education provider and is a testament to the dedication of our staff who work tirelessly to provide the high quality teaching and learning that best prepares our students for their future careers.”
Dan Wright, CEO and Secretary of the Chartered Institution for Further Education said: “We are delighted to welcome Trafford College into Membership. Trafford College has clearly demonstrated the maintenance of high quality standards, providing good teaching and learning over a sustained period of time, to fully meet all of our Membership criteria.”
The CIFE is a membership body for the higher performing FE colleges and training providers in the UK. Its mission is to bring together the best training providers across the sector and collectively to promote, recognise and celebrate their professionalism and success.
The College will officially receive the royal charter at a formal admissions ceremony in London on March 8.
