What time are the events?
5pm – 7pm except the February and April events which run from 5pm – 8pm.
Do I have to arrive at 5pm?
No – this is drop in event so please arrive at a time to suit you, but do allow yourself time to ask all your questions and to have a quick tour of the campus.
What happens at the event?
If you have already been made an offer, our tutors will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. On arrival, you will be directed to the correct area and asked to take a seat until it’s your turn to see the tutor.
If you have applied but not yet been made an offer, you will be directed to the correct area and asked to take a seat until it’s your turn to see the tutor. You’ll then have a discussion about your application and you have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have. Our aim is to find the right course for you and make you an offer on the evening.
How long will the events take?
This depends on how busy the event is. We aim to get you seen by a tutor as quickly as we can, but please bear with us in peak times.
Which campus should I attend?
This will be on the letter we’ve sent to you. For Building Design Services, Computing, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electrical Installation, Gas, Mechanical Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Plumbing, Science & Pharmacy courses please attend the event at our Talbot Road Campus in Stretford. For all other courses, please visit our Altrincham Campus.
Is there parking at both sites?
We have on site car parking which are free but spaces can be limited at busy times, so please allow plenty of time for your journey.
What do I need to bring with me?
If you haven’t applied (or didn’t include them in your application) please bring with you your predicted exam grades and any relevant qualifications you have already achieved.
Will I have an opportunity to have a look around the college?
We will be running short tours on the evening to give you a feel of the college. If you haven’t previously visited an open event, we’d encourage you to do so. At these events, you will be able to hear from our leadership team, have a full tour, meet existing students and have a go at course related activities. These events are on February 8th, April 20th and June 17th.
What happens if I can’t attend the date you’ve invited me in for?
We’d like to see you as soon as possible so we can secure your place. If you can’t make the next date, please see the list of dates above and join us at the next one.
