How to Apply
STEP 1: Get an application form
You can pick up an application form:
- From your careers teacher in school or your Connexions Personal Advisor
- At one of our Open Days
- By filling out the enquiry card at the back of the prospectus and sending it back to us
- By collecting an application form from our Schools Liaison Officer who will visit your school
- By calling Course Enquiries on 0161 886 7070
- By downloading our application form
STEP 2: Complete your application form
- Make a photocopy of your application form and complete a practice one first!
- Try to answer every question
- In Section 3 of the application form you will need to indicate which course(s) you would like to apply for. If you are interested in more than one course please state the courses in your preferred order.
- Ask your careers teacher, Connexions Personal Advisor or a parent to help you with anything you are unsure of
STEP 3: Send us your application form
- If you want your careers teacher or Connexions Personal Advisor to add any information to support your application then hand in your completed form to them and they will forward it directly to Trafford College.
- If you want to hand in your application without the above then you can send it straight back to the College at the following address: Admissions, Trafford College, Talbot Road, Stretford, Manchester, M32 0XH
What happens next?
- We'll send you a thank you postcard so you know we've received your application form
- You will then receive a letter inviting you to attend an interview at Trafford College.
- Your interview is your chance to meet your tutor and find out more about your course. With some courses you may have a group presentation as well as having a one to one chat with the course tutor and the opportunity to see more of the course facilities. Why not bring your parents along to find out more? For Music courses you'll have an audition too
- We'll then write and offer you a place on a course that's right for you, which will be conditional on your exam results.
Your guaranteed place
If you don't get the grades you expected don't worry we'll guarantee you a place on a different course to get you back on track.
Keep in touch
If at any stage you change your mind about the course you want to study or your personal circumstances change, don't worry, just keep us informed so we can make sure you have all the information you need to proceed with your application.
