Trafford College is recognised as a National Skills Academy in Retail, Sport & Active Leisure, Environmental Technologies, and Hospitality. The National Skills Academy accreditation identifies excellence in both training content and delivery, helping employers and individuals make informed choices when selecting a training provider.

Sport & Active Leisure

We work with a range of companies within the sport and active leisure industry to ensure all sport and fitness staff are trained to a high standard. Working with some of the UK’s leading leisure clubs but also small independent gymnasiums, we provide training in all aspects of sport and active leisure, including     personal training, fitness instructing, and coaching.

Environmental Technologies

Trafford College is one of 14 leading Environmental Technology ‘hub’ colleges in the UK, providing training in the design, installation and maintenance of technologies such as solar thermal, photovoltaics, heat pumps, water harvesting and recycling. These increasingly popular subjects are taught in Trafford College’s specialist ‘Green Room’, based at our Technology Centre.

Hospitality

Working with some of the most popular restaurants and eating establishments in the region, Trafford College has a strong reputation for producing some of the most dynamic and inspiring chef’s today. The College also provides Hospitality training at it’s on-site Restaurant and Bar, Aspire.

Retail

Trafford College provides Retail training for those interested in a career in the retail industry. We also provide training to retailers, managers and their staff to ensure first class service. Our ‘retail skills shop’ at the Talbot Road site provides a real working environment for those on our retail training programmes.
